We present to you “OKAKA” – Official Video by Mercy Chinwo.
After a pause for a while from the bright lights, Mercy Chinwo comes back with a banger, “OKAKA,” which means The Mighty One. The song arrives with energy, joy, and a strong declaration of who God is. From the beginning, Mercy brings us into a sound that is not only vibrant but also deeply rooted in worship and praise.
The music video starts with exciting sounds of bongos, drums, percussion, and other instruments, followed by a beat that is up and stayed there until the song ended. The rhythm carries the listener from start to finish without losing its strength. Though there is repetition in the song, it feels intentional, as if Mercy wants to drill the meaning of Okaka into the hearts of the listeners, so that even after hearing it, the song still lingers in your soul.
For those who do not understand Igbo, which the song was sung in, don’t worry, there are captions in the video, and that helps a lot. The captions make it easier to follow the message and connect with the meaning of the song. “OKAKA” is more than just a comeback song; it is a bold sound of praise, a reminder that God is mighty, and a celebration of His greatness.
Here it is: OKAKA — The Mighty One.
