I present to you “I’m Coming Home” by Mandy Brown Ojugbana — a powerful Amapiano gospel tune. It’s been a while since I’ve heard such a creative gospel musician bring something so fresh and different to the table. Well done, Mandy!
Mandy Brown-Ojugbana, a multi-award-winning British-Nigerian singer-songwriter. One of the pioneers of Afro-pop music in Africa, best known for “Taxi Driver,” a massive hit in the late 80s early 90s, which appeared on her multi-platinum selling album Breakthrough and continues to get radio play today. Her second album – All my love – was released a few years later.
Mandy said this single ” It tells the story of the Prodigal son with a heavy amapiano beat in order to reach a new youthful audience who may not necessarily listen to standard gospel music or attend church.”
I hope you enjoyed it as much as I do
